It’s a new year and a new decade, a time for predictions and resolutions. But we don’t need a crystal ball to predict that keeping pace with the increasing number of ever-evolving cyber threats will be challenging for businesses, governments and individuals this year and beyond, and that demand for cyber security skills will continue to be on the rise.
Imagine the dangerous ramifications of a technology, available to anyone, that can be used to threaten personal privacy, National Security and even Democracy itself. That technology is video. Combined with the viral power of the Internet, believable fake videos can compromise privacy, harm corporations, sow societal and political discord and spread disinformation.
October is National Cybersecurity Awareness month and this year marks the 16th annual collaborative effort between government and industry to increase cyber security awareness and provide resources for online safety and security.
